Hello. I’m Tony Phillips, founder of The Coaching Approach.

After a 20-year career in IT, followed by 10 years in sales and marketing, I finally found what I really wanted to do.

And that is helping people and organisations wake up to their potential.

Since 2003 I have been helping organisations such as HSBC, Barclays, Aon, VocaLink, Tube Lines, numerous small and medium sized businesses, a couple of charities and countless individuals release untapped potential.

I'm often asked, "Are you a life coach, a business coach or an executive coach?"

Although I'm a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation, the real answer is all, and none, of the above.

I work with people. Whether they are executives, business owners, business managers or entrepreneurs, I am interested in the whole person, because that's where your dreams and your potential lie.

I have a strong belief that when life really works best, at least for me, it is fun and has an ease about it.

To quote Oscar Wilde,

“Seriousness is the only refuge of the shallow.”

On the musical vein, Oliver Wendell Holmes said,

“Many people die with their music still in them.”

I don’t want to be one of them. Do you?

I'm based in Tunbridge Wells in Kent, but I also work with people in London, Athens,  New York and Vancouver.

I'm also quite keen on running, if you hadn't already noticed looking round the site.

Below is a video of me talking in January 2011 about my Run a Mile Each Day experiment, one of my practices that helps me be the best that I can be.
